The team are delighted to publish the following diary dates for the September to November period.

Magnums and More...20% off all wines in large format bottles

Every Monday evening at Boundary restaurant and every Friday lunch and dinner at Lutyens restaurant.
Boundary restaurant has become known for its award-winning wine list and, specifically, the collection of wines in magnums, jeroboams, imperials and other large format bottles. Part of the reason for this reputation is the customer-friendly pricing policy that it operates - all wines in large format bottles are priced at lower margins than single bottles. Plus, on Mondays, a further 20% discount is applied against the published selling price.

With effect from Friday, 7 September, sister restaurant Lutyens is joining the party and has stocked its cellar in anticipation. Wine is always better from these eye-catching bottles, and the list includes a broad range of wines; from rare Riesling to great value Mâcon, and, of course, outstanding top Bordeaux and Burgundy wines. These large formats are ideal for celebrations and are also available to those booking private dining rooms at Boundary and Lutyens. So, join us for dinner and bring some friends.

Magnums, Jeroboams, Imperials, Methuselah, Salmanazar, Balthazar, Nebuchadnezzar...

Magnums and More … with Diarmid O’Hara. This event aims to explain and discuss why wine is better from magnums and how it evolves in the bottle. There will be a comparative tasting with the same wine from the same vintage offered in two different bottle sizes and an opportunity to taste the same wine from two different vintages – one young and one with some ageing in a magnum. Plus, there will be a couple of unusual wines from magnums before finishing with a spectacular wine; Hermitage, JL Chave 1992 en magnum. The evening will start at 7pm with Delamotte Blanc de Blancs from magnums, obviously, followed by a four-course dinner at 7.30pm Tickets are £125pp.

Monday, 1 October at Boundary

Louis Mitjavile and Family – Bordeaux Wines. Louis will be presenting wines from his family’s three main wine producing estates, including three vintages of Ch. Tasting and four-course dinner. Apéritif from 7pm with dinner at 7.30pm. Tickets are £135pp.

Wednesday, 10 October at Lutyens

Old and Eclectic, with David Boobbyer of Reid Wines. A very special and exclusive event. While the line-up of wines for this year is yet to be finalised, last year’s tasting included an amazing Madeira from the nineteenth century, Krug from the 1980s, and rare wines from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, among others. Expensive, but worth it – you will be tasting history. Tickets are £250pp, to include a champagne reception, all of the wines and a five-course dinner menu. Apéritif from 7pm with dinner at 7.30pm.
