Pontet-Canet is a first growth in all but name and is the very essence of excellent Pauillac.
It also happens to be located just next door to Ch. Mouton Rothschild. Since 2000, the quality and consistency has been unrivalled. Now, after the epic 2009, the 2010 has scored a perfect 100 points with both Robert Parker and James Suckling.

“Talk about an estate that is on top of its game!”
Robert Parker on Pontet-Canet, February 2013.

We are extremely pleased to announce that Alfred Tesseron, owner of Pontet-Cantet has agreed to host this superb event. M. Tesseron will guide us through each of the ten magnificent wines - a vertical from 2001 to 2010 - and discuss his winemaking philosophy and why he decided to convert to biodynamic principles, a rarity in Bordeaux. Plus, he has promised to share his unique views on wine and food pairings, and when these wines should be drunk. Incidentally, while the 2010 is just a baby, it is still very drinkable at this early stage in its inevitably illustrious life.

In addition to ten vintages of the château’s grand vin, we will be serving Hauts de Pontet-Canet 2005 at the beginning of the evening and ending this spectacular event with the now famous Tesseron family cognac.

The wines will be accompanied by an impressive five course dinner menu cooked by
Frederick Forster, National Chef of the Year 2012.
