We are delighted to offer a unique opportunity to meet one of the world's top winemakers and enjoy a special white truffle and Italian red wine dinner to be held at Boundary Restaurant on Wednesday, 3rd November. |
While Boundary is fervently a French restaurant, we do also enjoy the occasional detour and love fantastic Barolo wines, especially when accompanied by truffles direct from Alba. |
Elio Altare is one of the great domaines in Piedmont, and Elio himself is a pioneer who almost single-handedly began the revolution in winemaking and vine-tending techniques so evident in the region today. Elio's production of modern-style Burgundy-influenced Barolos is unfortunately, miniature, meaning many of the cru Barolos and single vineyards such as "La Villa" sell out before they reach the UK market. |
Silvia, Elio's daughter, will present his great wines in person and discuss his winemaking techniques. |
