In the very best tradition of enticing you with not-to-be-missed occasions, we are very pleased to announce two very special wine events. One needs precious little introduction, as simply the name of the grand Champagne house Bollinger heralds a fanfare all its own. This evening featuring Bollinger Champagne and fine food will surely prove hard to resist. Not that the second event is to be sneezed at or considered somehow an also-ran. Any admirer of Rhône wines will instantly see the appeal of an evening featuring wines from this particular region of France and it is to be held at the end of the working week in the embracing surroundings of Lutyens. What more could one ask?

Bollinger Masterclass
Tuesday, 12 July
at Boundary Restaurant

Bollinger – need we say any more?

On Tuesday, 12 July native Champenois Christian Dennis, Brand Ambassador for Champagne Bollinger, will present four different prestige cuvée, plus La Côte aux Enfants, an extremely rare and very special still red wine made by Bollinger. Thanks to the kind support of Bollinger and Mentzendorff, tickets for this event are available at £100 – a huge saving against the cost of these wines. The event starts at 7pm with a Bollinger Special Cuvée en magnum apéritif, followed by a four-course dinner. See link for further details.

For Champagne and good food lovers, this promises to be one of our best events to date. Bollinger Grand Année 2002, awarded 19 out of 20 by Jancis Robinson MW, will be served with the first course − and the wines simply continue to get better after that. Don’t miss out!

Friday, 15 July
at Lutyens Restaurant

In light of the success of our sell-out M. Chapoutier tasting at Boundary Restaurant, we are pleased to announce details for the second Rhône wine event.

As many of you have requested events at the end of the working week, this tasting and dinner has been planned for a Friday evening at Lutyens. The event starts with a Condrieu 2009 apéritif, served in the members’ club, before the tasting moves to one of Lutyens’ excellent private dining rooms. Dinner itself will be served in the main restaurant – a great opportunity to introduce the different areas at Lutyens to Château Boundary regulars.

Our friends at John E. Fells & Sons have helped us to arrange some superb wines for the evening, including representations from Crozes-Hermitage, St Joseph, Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie, Châteauneuf-du-Pape and the legendary Château d’Ampuis.

We are almost embarrassed to confirm the price for this event at just £70pp. This is amazing value, even if we do say so ourselves. Tickets are limited, so please contact us as soon as possible.

The Guigal domaine was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal, in the ancient village of Ampuis, home of the wines of the Côte-Rôtie. Marcel Guigal took over from his father in 1961, winning Decanter Man of the Year in 2006. Today, Philippe Guigal, oenologist, continues the family endeavour, producing some of the greatest wines of the Rhône valley. Guigal pioneered the notion of single-vineyard Côte-Rôties, and his three most famous wines are La Landonne, La Mouline and La Turque, some of the most sought after wines in the world today.
