First, an apology to those people whom we could not accommodate at our two most recent tastings. Tickets for both events sold out - very quickly in the case of the Bollinger evening. The E. Guigal tasting at Lutyens last Friday was a great success, inspiring us to plan a few more events at our sister restaurant in The City.

Further news on this subject will be announced in early August. In the meantime, the schedule of events at Boundary for the period until November has now been posted on our website Do feel free to email us if you have a particular request or subject area that you would like to see as part of our programme of events.

Natural wines
with Frédéric Grappe
of Dynamic Vines
Tuesday, 2 August
at Boundary Restaurant

After the endless (and mind-numbing for some) talk about the 2010 Bordeaux En Primeur prices, the big topic at the moment in the world of wine is natural wines. The first Natural Wine Fair took place in May this year, and it is now the hottest subject being debated amongst the great and the good. Alongside inspirational wine merchants such as Les Caves de Pyrène, Frédéric Grappe of Dynamic Vines has been championing these organic and biodynamic wines that reflect their place of birth: the soil, the climate and their people, with minimal intervention and the lightest of touch when it comes to sulphur dioxide. At this event Frédéric will be presenting wines from three different domaines and he aims to elucidate us all in regard to this new frontier.

Apéritifs will be served at 7pm, with the tasting and supper commencing at 7.30pm. Tickets are £70 per person.

Rosé wines
with Ray O’Connor
Monday, 8 August
at Boundary Rooftop
and Boundary Restaurant

This event explores rosé wines from around the world in their many different forms; from an extra brut “grower” champagne, and the exceptionally good Balfour Brut Rosé to the classic provençale style via an example made with Pinot Noir, as well as, wines from Spain, Australia and California. We are delighted to welcome back Ray O’Connor - our favourite tutor, for this informal and fun tasting.

Subject to weather conditions, the apéritifs will be served from 6.45pm on Boundary Rooftop. The tasting will take place in Boundary Restaurant, starting at 7.30pm and ending at approximately 8.45pm. Tasting nibbles and canapés will be served throughout the tasting. Tickets are £40 per person. Any guests who choose to stay for dinner will receive a 10% discount on the restaurant bill.
