Rooftop
Boundary Rooftop includes a large bar with seating arranged around an open fireplace, a 48-seat grill restaurant and a garden designed by Nicola Lesbirel. The rooftop is accessible by a direct lift and is served by its own kitchen. Panoramic views range 360 degrees from Canary Wharf, round to the City’s Gherkin and Barbican, and back again to the rooftops and spires of East London. The space is replete with a large sail-like canopy, heating, festoon lighting and Welsh blankets.

The bar is open seven days per week from midday. Last access to the Rooftop is 15 minutes after sundown and the bar closes 30 minutes after sundown. If the weather is particularly good, these hours will be extended on the day until 10.30pm.
The grill restaurant is open for lunch and dinner seven days per week. The kitchen is open from midday to 3pm and from 5.30pm to sundown.
While the Rooftop aims to open as per the above schedule, it is sometimes only open for half of the day, or, if the weather isn't especially good the management might just open the bar area only. Please refer to the Twitter announcements for further details.
Reservations
Due to the vagaries of the British weather, the rooftop bar and grill restaurant does not accept reservations.
A limited number of tables and bar space is available each day, however, for groups of eight to 30 people - between midday and 4.30pm. This must be pre-booked and specific terms and conditions will apply. A standard non-refundable deposit of £400 inc VAT is applicable on these occasions.
Additionally, in the evening, a limited amount of space is available for drinks and canapés receptions for groups of between eight and 30 people - from 5pm until 30 minutes after sundown. A nominal booking fee based on £200 inc VAT for 8-15 and £400 for 16-30 people will apply on these occasions and the host will be expected to pre-order from the Rooftop drinks and canapés menu selection. The relevant booking fee is also taken as a non-refundable deposit. On the occasions when the Rooftop is closed due to bad weather, 50% of the booking fee / deposit will be refunded. The Rooftop is unable to offer a cash bar or individual payment facility for large groups; instead, the host will be requested to provide a credit card and will be responsible for the drinks and food bills.
Please note that we do not take reservations for groups who wish only to drink on the rooftop.

Exclusive Hire
On very rare and limited occasions across the summer, the Rooftop can be hired for exclusive use for a maximum of 80 people. There is some shelter from rain, with a sail-like canopy covering approximately half of the floor space. Capacity under the sail is 40 people seated and 60 standing. On the occasions when an exclusive hire is approved, the following charges apply;
| Hire Fee | Minimum Food & Drink Spend | |
| Midweek lunch | £2,000 ex VAT | £2,500 inc VAT |
| Weekend lunch | £3,000 ex VAT | £4,500 inc VAT |
| Evening hire, weekends/midweek | £4,000 ex VAT | £8,000 inc VAT |
| All day hire, weekends/midweek | £5,000 ex VAT | £10,000 inc VAT |
The minimum food and drink charges are subject to a 12.5% discretionary service charge.
Lunch hours are midday to 4pm and evening hire allows access from 5pm to 11.20pm.
If the Rooftop is hired on an exclusive basis and the event does not proceed due to inclement weather, the hire fee only will be levied and not the minimum food and drink spends. For lunch events, Boundary Restaurant can be booked as a contingency location at no extra charge. For evening events, Boundary Restaurant can be arranged as a contingency location, subject to good notice and availability, however, an additional charge will apply. These charges are £3,500 ex VAT for Monday to Wednesday evenings and £6,000 ex VAT for Thursday to Saturdays, and £2,000 ex VAT on Sundays. Please note that this option must be confirmed at the point of confirming the Rooftop reservation and the fee is not refundable if the event proceeds on the Rooftop and the Restaurant space is not used.

Cigars and the Pachyderm Humidor
Every year, Cuba has a Cigar Festival at which the major cigar brands produce a humidor to be auctioned for the benefit of the Cuban Public Health Service, which is severely under-funded. At the auction in February 2007, Terence Conran, after he had consumed a considerable quantity of Rum, purchased the bizarre Montecristo Pachyderm Humidor for several hundred thousand Dollars. This humidor is now kept at Boundary to store the Rooftop’s cigar collection. The following is a list of the cigars that are available on the Rooftop. A further selection of rare and vintage cigars is available upon request for smoking on the Rooftop. Plus, Boundary is one of the few locations in London that is permitted to allow smoking indoors. This can be arranged in the Sir Terence Conran or the Sir David Tang suites.
Drinks and Wine List
DOWNLOAD THE DRINKS AND WINE LIST
Due to space restrictions at the Rooftop, the drinks list is limited to just a handful of wines and cocktails. However, with a little notice and for special events or those wanting a greater choice, the award-winning Boundary Restaurant wine list is available upon request.
Rooftop Capacity
For health and safety reasons, the Rooftop is subject to strict maximum capacity numbers. This sometimes means that access is denied until other guests leave the area.
